Site info
Who made this, and what it means.
The short version: we built our own site the way we build yours. Hand-coded, brand first, no page builder, no template.
Who we are
Web Wishery is a website design and development studio in Louisville, Kentucky, and the build arm of the Omythic collective. Omythic does the brand. Web Wishery turns a finished brand into a site people can actually use, then keeps it running with domains and hosting under one roof. Founded 2020. Creative direction by Mark Andrew Palmer, founder of Omythic, Agency AEO, Makespace and a few other things he's not done with yet.
Where we live
Web Wishery is a tenant of The Epiphery, the collective's ideation lab and headquarters at 209 East Main Street, Louisville, KY 40202. Text us at (502) 794-7447 or email iwish@webwishery.com. We'd rather text than call, and so would you.
What the sparkles mean
A four-pointed star is a wish. Bounce it and it squares up into a pixel, and websites are made of pixels. Our mark has five sparkles: three still stars, two already pixels. That's every project, mid-wish. The animated version at the bottom of this site was built by Nate Walls and first appeared in the footer of the sites we made in 2022. Hover it, or tap it on your phone.
Web Wishery and Makespace
People ask, so here it is. Makespace is a Louisville web company Mark founded in 2006 with Rob Miles. Twenty years in, still going, with its own team and its own clients. Web Wishery is a different company with a different job: it is the studio inside the Omythic collective that builds the site after the brand is right, for clients who came in through Omythic, Agency AEO or a referral. Shared founder, shared building, separate businesses. Some sites carry a Makespace mark and some carry ours. Both are the real thing.
How this site is built
- Hand-coded HTML, CSS and a little JavaScript. No page builder, no theme, no plugin stack to patch.
- Served from the edge on Cloudflare, so it loads from the city nearest you.
- Built to be found and quoted: one topic per page, plain answers to real questions, structured data for search engines and the AI assistants people ask now, and a llms.txt that tells them who we are in their own language.
- Built for everyone: keyboard, screen reader, reduced motion and small phones all tested. Details on the accessibility page.
- Honest cookies: necessary only until you say otherwise. Details on the cookie page.
